    Cavemen!

I've found the Cavemen! And now I want to lose them again. I found them over at Trixies site when she is talking about sexism in gaming.

These idiots are being so shallow minded. Don't even waste you're time with the link if you don't want to get all pissed off. I am so sick and tired of the racist, sexist, overall ignorant tone of people on live lately. Tonight I'm having a great time on Burnout Revenge (which I just rented) until I run into this guy who won't stop yelling the N* word. And I am playing in the "Family" gamerzone!! I know there aren't many "Family" players out there but this is ridiculous.

The other night my sister was playing UNO and a couple of guy's started razzing her cause she's a girl and saying very rude stuff... like breaching the code of conduct rude. I had to get on the mic and then I got screamed at too, so I left the game. I hope they go to leave "left game" feedback on me and see that I'm an Ambassador. (if they can read)
I don't know what Live needs to put an end to this type of behavior, but something has to happen. If you go to the store you can't start yelling racial slurs for no reason. You'd get your ass kicked. And being rude and sexist in public isn't gonna make friends any faster. Sooner or later people will hopefully realize that when you are playing games on the Internet, you ARE in public and need to act like a normal human.
Why should I have to mute the voice through the TV when my daughters are around?
I should be comfortable for my wife to try out Burnout online, but I'm not.
I would like to emphasize the importance of leaving approppriate feedback for people. No, you aren't tattling, you're just doing you're best to create a nicer community. The trolls will eventually end up stuck playing with themselves (no pun intended) and we'll all be enjoying fresh, freindly competition.

"I hereby swear on 'The Ring Of Light' that I will always leave appropriate feedback and never let the ignorance win. In doing so I will help create a nicer community that will also be more "new person friendly". If I ever fail in my duty to leave appropriate feedback, may the 'Red Lights of Death' strike my console down, forcing me to endure weeks of Xboxless meditation."

If you also swear to always leave appropriate feedback, please post a comment. Maybe we could make a clan of people who are against ignorance online? Don't get me wrong, I may cuss a little when someone hits me with a draw four in UNO, but the sexism and racism HAS to stop.

    Thanks for listening

I ran into this problem last night while playing Burnout with Rabid.  These people are the reason I never gamed online very much until a couple of months back when I joined a great group of people.  I pretty much only game online with them and while we do swear from time to time and have some playful trash talk, it's all in good fun and never mean spirited.

BTW, it was great playing Burnout with you the other night.  Hopefully we can get some more in soon or even something else.

I am so sorry to hear about your sister.  I totally agree that this behavior is unacceptable. I wold love to play Uno with her and agree you shouldnt have to worry about having to mute the volume or not.

It is always great to learn that my props are welcome and proved to be as good as I say.
I love XUG and to me, it is a great pleasure to see my friends there too.

This has been an ongoing problem and needs to be addressed. I won't let my kids play Live unless the volume on the tv is muted. NO WAY they are going to wear the headset. I have to admit that most nights I leave the headset off myself unless I am playing someone from my Friends List.
I've grown tired of this bad behavior and I do leave negative feedback when I experience it. I recommend that everyone does the same.

Thanks for having my back on this. I really appreciate it, all your nice comments and stuff. Did you like the "Proclamation"?

    >shakes head<  there are some people out there who's sole purpose is to be disruptive....  >signs the feedback proclamation<  I've given feedback out to everyone so far, and luckily my ratio is 3 preferred and 1 bad...
I've got the same frame of mind on that too - the more feedback, the better the system will be.  Also be sure to file a complaint for those that break the Code of Conduct  :p
Together we WILL make Live a better place!

I'm hoping and guessing that part of the update will be design for a kid's setting... and easier access to settings dealing with such situations... hey, I'm sorry you had to go through that... til we meet again.!

I am so sorry to hear about your sister. I know how it is when guys start up. I try to send feedback on everyone I play with. The more feedback that goes out, the better the community will be! Give your sister my GT, I would love to play uno with her sometime.

    cheers!

I am truly sorry to learn about your sister's experience.
I sincerely hope it won't happen again.
Why don't you invite her to join us at XUG? I mean, not only on the forums, but to meet people there and find nice people to play with.
Some of the girls also play UNO and it could be a much nicer experience for her.
